White House to Strip Citizenship from 17 People

The federal government just launched the most aggressive denaturalization campaign in American history, going after 17 fraudulently naturalized citizens in one sweep — and the left is losing what's left of its collective mind. Apparently, the radical idea that you shouldn't be able to lie your way into American citizenship is now considered controversial.

Who knew honesty was such a tall order?

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin posted on social media: "American citizenship is a privilege, and it must be earned honestly. If you come here, break our laws, and lie in your immigration proceedings, you forfeit that privilege." That sound you hear is a thousand immigration lawyers frantically updating their LinkedIn profiles.

The sweep targets individuals who obtained citizenship while hiding some rather inconvenient details about themselves — things like drug trafficking, sex offenses against children, financial crimes, and general immigration fraud. You know, the kind of stuff that might indicate a lack of what the naturalization process quaintly calls "good moral character."

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche laid it out plainly: "When criminal aliens exploit the naturalization process by breaking the law, there are consequences. Criminal aliens are lying about their past crimes, including drug dealers, sexual predators, and fraudsters." We appreciate the specificity, Todd. Really paints a picture of the "model citizens" the Democrats keep telling us we're persecuting.

The previous record for denaturalization cases was 11. This sweep blew past that with 17 in a single action. And here's the kicker that should terrify every fraud who slipped through the cracks — the DOJ boasts a 95 percent success rate on denaturalization efforts. Those aren't exactly comforting odds if you're a drug dealer who checked the "I'm a good person" box on your N-400.

Democrats will undoubtedly wring their hands about this being some kind of authoritarian overreach. Spare us. These aren't people who made a typo on their paperwork. These are convicted criminals who lied to obtain the most valuable legal status on the planet.

Once denaturalized, these individuals lose the citizenship protections that were shielding them from deportation. That's right — the same citizenship they obtained through fraud was the only thing keeping ICE from showing them the door. Poetic, isn't it?

The Trump administration isn't just building walls and deporting people anymore. They're going back through the receipts, auditing who got through, and cleaning the house from the inside out. DHS, DOJ, and ICE are all working in concert on this one, and the message is crystal clear: the fraud window is closed.

It's been a long time since any of us have seen an administration willing to tackle the immigration system this deep — not just stopping the flow at the border, but rooting out the rot that's been festering for decades.

The law is the law. You lied on your application, you're gone. Apparently that's a radical concept in 2026 America.
