Trump’s New Troll Is Driving Team Kamala Mad

The former president kept his promise to work at a McDonald’s and see what it was really like on Sunday. Trump worked at a McDonald’s in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which is a key swing district. The event drew huge crowds.

The stunt was meant to make fun of Kamala Harris’s false claim that she worked at the fast-food company in the 1980s, but it turned out to be a brilliant idea. The event seemed to really bring Trump down.

A customer asked Trump if the experience made him like McDonald’s more, and Trump replied that it did.

Trump replied, “Well, I do appreciate it; maybe a little more, yeah. You don’t think about it. You ask for French fries. This is something I’ll never forget. Okay? It’s great that I know how to do it now.”

There was no doubt that Trump won, and the Harris-Walz team was completely caught off guard. The campaign should have known what was going to happen because Trump had been teasing about working a shift at McDonald’s for weeks. It was one of the smartest political moves this election cycle. Harris’s campaign not only failed to fight it, but they also missed a great chance to get ahead of the story. It’s clear that Team Harris was caught off guard.

The Harris-Walz team did, in fact, talk about Trump’s visit to McDonald’s.

Harris doesn’t even talk about Trump’s visit to McDonald’s in her timeline on X. Why doesn’t Harris herself talk about it? What if she really did work at McDonald’s? This would have been the best time for her to say something like, “I actually worked there,” and maybe even show proof to make the difference between her claimed experience and Trump’s jokes.

Since Sunday, I’ve checked her personal X account several times and there’s nothing there. There was no joke, statement, or even a link to a story from a liberal newspaper making fun of the visit. There’s nothing.

There’s also nothing on the KamalaHQ account.

A lot of questions are raised by the fact that Harris didn’t give such a clear answer. Kamala should have replied, “Trump pretended to work at a McDonald’s; I really worked there, yada, yada, yada.” That would have been much more convincing.
