Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” this week that Donald Trump was “unqualified to be president” because he is “becoming more unstable and deranged.”
Clinton said, “The vice president has moved to the closing argument. There are two parts to the closing point. What kind of country do we want to be is the last point. Who are we as a group? Do we want to be split up? Are we willing to get into fights over how to solve our problems if we can’t agree? She has the skills to bring our country together, but he doesn’t.”
She went on, “He’s showing more and more, like when he stood on stage for 39 minutes bopping to the songs he plays at Mar-a-Lago, that he is not qualified to be there. His personality makes him unsuitable. Based on his actions, he’s unqualified. He doesn’t have enough knowledge. He doesn’t meet the requirements because of Project 2025. I believe she is bringing those two points together. That’s really the point. In the words of Liz Cheney, “I may not agree with her, but I agree with her that our democracy is at stake.” This is something that everyone needs to think about. She is the only person we can trust to protect our freedom, rights, the rule of law, and everything else we value.”
Clinton also said, “He is becoming more unstable and crazy. Now it’s every day, but we’ve seen proof of that before. He’s getting more and more scary and threatening. Because he has promised to send American troops into our streets, you were 100% right in your first two points. Not just the people he thinks should be removed, but also those of us who don’t agree with them or have a different idea of what’s best for America. I believe it’s a good argument for her, but more importantly, I believe it’s a good case for our country, for our freedom and democracy. It makes you remember how dangerous he is.”
