Gun Rights: Supreme Court Refuses To Do Its Job

The appeal challenging Maryland’s “assault weapons” prohibition is still pending in the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit; therefore, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) declined to hear the issue this week.

Field Traders LLC, Dominic Bianchi, the Second Amendment Foundation, and the Firearms Policy Coalition are the plaintiffs in this lawsuit.

According to Bloomberg, “The Maryland case was unique because gun-rights activists were looking for Supreme Court overview even though the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals has not yet decided.” Bloomberg also reported that the matter is still pending in the 4th Circuit.

According to Reuters, the plaintiffs “asked the Supreme Court to evaluate the legitimacy of the restriction before the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, makes a verdict in the case.” SCOTUS turned down the plea.

During Monday’s SCOTUS meeting, there was also a lawsuit contesting Illinois’ “assault weapons” prohibition, but the justices did not rule on it. This means they can address or reject it at the next meeting.

This is United States Supreme Court case No. 23-863, Bianchi v. Brown.

  1. Biden has no consept about what he should be doing as President , I realize that he stole the election and I a aware of votes for Trump were found , enough to put Trump ahead and as President the United States would be much better foo then we are today , We have millions crossing our open borders , and not only Mexicans but meny other nations ! Sounds like something only a person that has a deep hatred of our country would ever think of doing . But he hid well , he picked Kamelly as his vice President and she is about as intelligetnt as a bananna , A person of her intelligance should find a job cleaning trash cans and not being VicePresident !! As bad as our nation is right now I alongf with others feel Biden should be removed for office and sent to Gitmo or some other prison with enough room to take the whole Biden famils , as they have proof fo money that should have gone to our country but was way-laid to the Biden Family !!!

  2. Gun rights was one of the best things we had going for us , of course back the the days noone had any trsining what so ever with handeling a firearm ( but please remember that when we were at war with Japan Admedral Heraito was asked why noght invade Ameerica . The Abmerial replyed that in Amrica there is a person with a loaded firearm behind every blade of grass, and if we were to invade America we would surely lose !!! The problem rests on the polititons that are running around trying to pass stupid laws that need repealed For instince , say a man and a violent man who has threatened to harm or even kill her ! Instead of alowing the woman to have a firearn for self protection , they choose to tell her to apply for a firearm and waitr for one to let her permitted to protect herself ! If you think about it there was either a moran running things back then and still running things! How meny lives are lost because no one has a right to posess a firearm unless some idiot meny miles from here has to issue har apermit ! What a bunch of bull shit !
