GOP Now Closer To Controlling The Senate

As the race for U.S. Senate in Nevada comes to a close, a Rasmussen Reports/American Thinker poll shows that Ret. U.S. Army Capt. Sam Brown (R) is leading in the last few weeks.

A poll of 748 potential Nevada voters released on Saturday shows that Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) has a slight lead over Brown, 47% to 47%. This is a big change from September:

Brown has gained four points since September, giving Rosen three support points back. This gives Brown a seven-point increase in one month. A Rasmussen poll from September showed Rosen ahead by 50% to 40%.

For men, Brown has a slight 47–45 percent edge, while for women, Rosen is better, 49–42 percent.

The poll was taken from October 9th to October 14th, just a few days before their one meeting on Thursday. Brown had some good times, like when she called Rosen out for not protecting women’s sports. The discussion could change the race even more, and this is a trend that should be looked for in future polls.

A poll by Rasmussen Reports also looked at how the race for president was going in the Silver State. Former President Trump has backed Brown and has a two-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris, with 47% to 47%. Four percent aren’t sure who they want to vote for or would choose a third-party candidate.

Since September, Harris’s support has dropped by 1%, but Trump’s support has stayed the same.

When you look more closely, Trump leads Harris with guys. When it comes to women, they are tied. By a margin of 51% to 46%, men who answered chose Trump. However, when it comes to women, opinions are pretty split: 48% support Harris and 47% support Trump.

Also, Trump is getting support from almost a third of black people and all other minority voters put together.

The error range for the poll is ±3 percentage points.

Taking this American Thinker poll into account along with a bunch of other Nevada polls, RealClearPolling’s moving average shows that Trump has a 0.8% lead as of Saturday afternoon. The average poll from FiveThirtyEight showed that Harris had a 0.5% lead, but this poll was not included in that model.
