Was Joe Biden driven out of the race for reelection, or did he voluntarily withdraw? For weeks, the majority of Democrats have argued that everything is sunshine and unicorns. According to the story, Biden gladly stood aside to make sure the terrible orange man wouldn’t take office again, since he is the epitome of a statesman who values his nation more than ambition.
That was nonsense, as everyone who paid attention always knew, and a recent Politico story confirms the coup that occurred. In addition, Biden continues to feel deceived in the aftermath.
“Barack Obama’s refusal to tell President Joe Biden directly that he needs to withdraw from the race has him fuming. He is furious and perceives Nancy Pelosi as cruel for ushering him out the door. Additionally, he continues to be dissatisfied with Chuck Schumer’s position.”
“Biden has told his closest aides that he is coming to terms with his choice to withdraw from the presidential race last month, but he still harbors some frustration against the members of his own party he thinks pushed him out,” according to three people who are familiar with Biden’s thinking but not authorized to speak publicly about those private conversations.
The president’s abrupt termination of his campaign lacked any natural flow. Nancy Pelosi and her close-knit network of elites decided to oust him. The fact that this would require them to discard every primary vote was inconsequential. It was all about retaining power at whatever cost. After Pelosi stabbed Biden in the back, the donor class followed her, guaranteeing that the money supply would dry up and preventing Biden from continuing as the nominee.
On the one hand, what happened was a betrayal of the democratic process. However, one must acknowledge the brutality with which Pelosi and her party conduct their business. All that matters to them is winning elections, and they will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. In the past, it was unthinkable to remove a sitting president from office in July. But they did, and rather than backfiring, it’s working for them right now, making this election far more winnable.
Biden said to one of the attendees, “She did what she had to do” to offer Democrats the best opportunity to win in November, stressing that Pelosi “cares about the party,” not about sentiments.
Given how openly irate Biden has been about the situation—he even took a jab at Pelosi in a recent interview—I seriously doubt that he was that amicable. Pelosi, on the other hand, suggested that Biden may not have even written the letter in early July declaring he was continuing in the race.
However, Biden’s close circle feels that Pelosi was the key player in forcing him out. After nearly two weeks of attempting to persuade other Democrats, his aides believed that on the morning of July 10, his candidacy was still a possibility. However, it was at that point that Pelosi made her now-famous statement on “Morning Joe,” making it quite evident that she was against Biden pursuing his campaign. “That made it easier for several other Democrats and contributors to do the same, according to the president’s advisers.”
The coup took place. At this juncture, rejecting the coup would mean rejecting Biden’s stated interpretation of events. Yes, in the end, he decided to resign, but he did so with a political revolver pointing at his head. If the 25th Amendment were under attack, I wouldn’t be shocked. Biden realized he had been ousted the minute Pelosi made her announcement and the donors announced they were done, so he tried to preserve what little legacy he still had.
Once more, this is blatantly anti-democratic, yet it seems to have succeeded. Well, this is far. Right now, that’s undoubtedly a sticking point for Republicans, including me. Trump was on his way to victory, but now that Kamala Harris has the support of a submissive press serving as her propaganda minister, the race is back to a dogfight. Because of this, it’s more critical than ever for the previous president to prevail. What if the Democrats’ actions were confirmed? At that point, what purpose would primaries serve? It is necessary to reject this.
