Congress Humiliated – New Poll Decimates Establishment

A recent Rasmussen survey indicates that 54% of prospective US voters think the present Congress would be less effective at solving the country’s issues than a bunch of randomly chosen individuals from the phone book. 27% of voters disagree and do not believe that a group of people chosen at random could do better.

Merely 20% of respondents think the typical congressman pays the most attention to the people he serves. 67% of respondents think Congress primarily listens to party leaders. Twelve percent are unsure.

The typical elected representative in Congress, according to 33% of Democratic voters, 15% of Republican voters, and 13% of independent voters, mostly listens to the voters they represent.

Voters who identify as Republicans (71%), Democrats (57%), and independents (75%), all think that elected politicians primarily represent the interests of their parties’ leaders in Congress.

A randomly chosen group of people from a phone book would, in the opinion of 57% of Republican voters, 46% of Democrat voters, and 58% of independent voters, be better suited to handle the challenges facing the US than the current Congress.

A random selection of people would do better than Congress in the current year, according to 59% of respondents who think that ordinary elected officials in Congress mostly listen to party leaders.

The average elected member in Congress, according to 71% of white voters, 55% of black voters, 62% of Hispanic voters, and 62% of other non-white minorities, mostly listens to party leaders.

Voters in the income bracket of $30,000 to $50,000 per year are more likely than others to think that the existing Congress is not up to the task of solving the nation’s numerous issues and that a phone book committee made up of randomly chosen candidates would.

In fact, Washington, DC, is incredibly dishonest and disconnected from the needs of the middle class. Right now, the ordinary politician would not be able to represent the nation as well as Joe Blow from the street. The primary goal of the right should be to delegitimize this political elite at every stage, as it acts like a foreign occupying entity.

  1. If you mistakenly think that your representatives give a damn about you, go try to see them. If you are not a mega donor you probably won’t even get near the building.

  2. I do not trust anyone in Washington, DC including Congress and SCOTUS. America has been sold out to corruption.

  3. True our congress is not worth shit and needs to be cleared out and replaced with people who love America period. The democrats and RINOs are the worse.

  4. Yell if you are looking for a room full of stupid idiots you can find it by going to Washington and going into congress. The Biden administration is nothing but a bunch of idiots also . And you can fine an idiot in the poor states that elected a democrat for governor and in cities that elected democrats for Mayor . Look at how bad the state of California is becoming under the idiot Gavin Newsom ! And they say he wants to run for president OMG he would be worse than Biden if that’s possible!!!!. To me all the dam dirty democrats are idiots period.
