Massachusetts Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren has made the phrase “I have a plan for that” her trademark slogan — something the fawning mainstream media has been happy to repeat over and over whenever they report on her.
Now, there is some truth to this: Warren does seem to have a plan for basically everything — and that’s the problem. The progressive candidate wants to micromanage everything in America, from the economy to the welfare state to whatever else. She has so many plans because she believes government power is the answer to everything.
One thing she doesn’t seem to have a plan for, at least rationally, is how to contain the opioid crisis that has rocked the country. Thousands of Americans have become addicted to painkillers in recent years, and turned to harder drugs to feed this addiction. Now, where are these drugs coming form? Take a wild guess…
Opioids like heroin primarily come into the United States through the poorly-defended southern border. Now, President Trump has been very clear on the solution to this: put a wall there, and stop people from coming in who have no business here. Instead of that, Warren just wants to throw money at the problem — and we all know how that turns out.
